[O.C.T.O.B.E.R. V-24] Tiny

Looking out at the great beyond, it is easy to feel tiny.

Whether it be Lake Michigan, on a day where the firmaments converge to a hauntingly beautiful vista…

… or the Pacific Ocean from the shore of La Jolla, seeing nothing but puffy clouds in the distance.

… or the Caribbean Sea, watching my first experience with natural ocean tides on a beach in Sint Martin (or was it Saint Maarten? I think it was the former side of the island. Alas, I have no photo readily available…).

… or high above the clouds, seeing the menacing cumulonimbus clouds from above instead of below.

Somewhere in the air between Omaha and Chicago, on June 7, 2015.

… or again high above the clouds, seeing a large lake in (almost) the whole frame of the camera.

Somewhere in eastern Wisconsin, on May 31, 2016.

… or when a wall cloud leaves you breathless with anticipation…

At Art Keller Field on the campus of Carthage, on October 5, 2016.

… or the magic of perspective.

At my graduation tailgate party on June 20, 2015.
