A commercial that I have seen quite frequently lately has been the AT&T commercial involving a man getting an iPhone 7 on the house by switching to AT&T. After he walks away from the employee, his inner monologue tells him to stay cool, recounting what just happened. The monologue ends with him saying, “Just a few more steps.” Continue reading
Last night, I drove over to Lake Geneva (a Long-40-Minutes drive from my apartment) and played in the Central States Regional bridge tournament. I played in the Open Side Series game, partnering with Mike J. Although we didn’t earn masterpoints, I still had a great time!
Three weeks ago, I set up for a three-part sequence of posts. In the first post, I discussed hearing on the radio something about chili and cinnamon rolls at school. In the second post, there was the first attempt at the rendezvous, and then the mulligan which succeeded. At the end of that post, I had mentioned that I would save the major legacy for this post. Saturday-Sunday, October 25-26: A SNOWSTORM paralyses Lincoln and Omaha, dropping about 13 inches of snow on the cities. Tree branches are broken, snowplows are running late since the big storm was unexpected, and power was lost.
