[O.C.T.O.B.E.R. IX-11] Missed opportunity

I would have written this blog post on Wednesday, but other ideas for Wednesday popped up then.

Why Wednesday? I had a dentist appointment, almost a year in arrears.

But, I had it scheduled for 15:00 instead of 14:30.

That is, it was at three, rather than tooth hurty.

And my next appointment six months down the road I also forgot to schedule for tooth hurty.

(The good news: there was no tooth hurty during the appointment, but quite a bit of picking. And yes, I could go back to an old blog post where I talked about “Pick a little talk a little…”

[M.A.P.L.E. VIII-4] Hyandreigh

This post is a quickie, since I wanted to write it ahead of time of tomorrow’s Shabbaton in case I don’t get a chance to type tomorrow. Thus, this is a schedule post.

The post title should be pronounced “high and dry.” The strange spelling is the name of a tower in the world of Dragon Quest VII, as the Dragon Quest worlds are full of punny and portmanteau’y names.

Ear-itation

I have used this term “ear-itation” many times before in my journal. It is a perfect pun on what the problem is: irritation in the ear. Most frequently, it is concurrent with a plugged nose and/or coughing: part of a cold.

Sometimes, though, I get ear-itation as a result of allergens, but again, that is often concurrent with cold-like symptoms.

Now, I’ve got ear-itation, and I know what the culprit is…
