[M.A.P.L.E. IX-3] Swoosh!

Today’s weather was definitely a “Swoosh.” Not a “Woosh,” but not quite a “Kaswoosh” either.

It has been quite windy in Eau Claire the last few days, as well as the upper Midwest in general. Yesterday, I felt it in our car ride to the Twin Cities, and this was evident in the fact that my gas mileage was significantly better on the return ride (with the wind) than on the outbound (against the wind).

[M.A.P.L.E. VII-23] First summer day

In the last few years, my “summer” break has started in May. When I was in graduate school, the semester ran through the beginning of June, and I didn’t really have a “vacation” then either.

However, there has been a common theme with “early” summer days (not necessarily the first day post-work) these last three years.
